He had been so charming, dark lashes batting the heat like ostrich feather fans.
He’d spotted her poolside in Sharm-el-Sheikh, seen she was different from her greasy countrymen, their boiled lobster skin, superior attitudes and inferior behaviour. He’d promised her authenticity – a true taste of Egypt and its people. Well, one of its people.
Now he was gone, along with the car, her money, phone, jewellery. She only had the flies for company, zipping round her, dabbing her salted crusted skin with their tongues.
Authenticity sucked.

Doesn’t it just? Fab take on the prompt, Lynn 🙂

Thank you, Sonya! Yes, I think my heroine would rather have the belly dancing on a cruise ship with continental breakfast right now 🙂

Aha! Poor girl, very clever take Lynn. I love this tale, I can imagine the expression of dismay.

Thank you. Yes, sadly her naivety has got her into a lot of trouble. Possibly life threatening trouble. Let’s hope she finds a way out 🙂

I’d mummify him to get him in touch with the real Egypt haha. Creep! But I bet his good looks have made him wealthy…
Good story. 3 line ‘ish’ 🙂

Thanks! Yes, that would certainly help get him in touch with his glorious forebears 🙂 And you’re right – I think he’s the kind of guy who will always profit from his charm and looks – damn him 🙂 Thanks for reading

You’re welcome! I’m sure he’ll meet his match one day with a stunning babe hanging out at Charm El Sheik just waiting for him to take the bait….

Thanks hon! Poor girl – wonder if she makes it out alive? I hope that lover boy might have dumped her close – ish to a tourist trail. I think he’s a thief, but not a killer. And maybe they’ll meet again some day 🙂

Yes! You’re on form today! You’ve dropped some poor innocent girl into the middle of the desert with no water – you’d better hope your characters don’t come to life, or this lady will be coming to for revenge, because the Egyptian was just another victim of your pen 🙂

Ha! Thank Jane 🙂 I think she’ll be rescued. A passing camel train – a BBC wildlife film crew – someone will look after her 🙂
